Press Release New “Double Quicksm” Dial-Up Internet Services from Body Wise® Communications/Advantagesm Telecommunications firm completes testing of new service and calls it the “best alternative to DSL for the money”. Sutter
Creek, California, July 23, 2002: Eric
Shippam, Director of Communications/Advantage LLC the official Internet and
telecommunications provider to Body Wise® International, Inc. and its thousands
of Independent Consultants said in Sutter Creek, California today that they have successfuly completed a 60-day
test of their new Double Quicksm Internet Access Service. The new service is
available to all residents of California. Eric Shippam said, “For some time there has been a demand for faster
Internet Access transmission speeds. Our customers tell us they hate the slow
speeds of standard dial-up services and many cannot get DSL or Cable service,
so we decided to test a low cost alternative. Today, we are delighted to
announce that our customers can go twice
as fast, as their current dial up service, and pay as little as $24.95 per month for the service. That is,
twice the speed for little more than most people pay for standard dial-up
connections from our competitors,” Shippam noted. “In the past, getting speeds
faster than 56 Kilobits per second wasn’t possible locally unless you purchased
ISDN (128Kbps) or DSL Service. At $80 for ISDN, it was not a good option for
most folks and DSL just is not available to most of us. The new Double Quicksm Internet Service ends
the wait for faster speeds.” Test Results The first subscriber to the new service was San Andreas based Calaveras
Enterprise Newspaper: Nick Baptista, Editor of the paper, said, “The service is twice the
speed of the service we had before and we are actually paying less than we did
with our old dial up service.” As for quality, he said, “So
far, we are very happy with the speed and reliability of the service. With a
busy office like ours, we can’t afford downtime on our network at any price and
Double Quick has stood the test.” Sutter Creek Telecommuter, Steve Gomann, has this to say about the new
service from, Communications Advantage in an email to Bobby Keeling, IT manager at the
company, “Thanks
for your
help with getting my computer ready for Double Quick. It works like a charm and
I am up and
running. I didn't even need to change anything with my work VPN and Outlook.
Thanks again
and I'd be happy to be a reference for you should you need one.” “Responses like this from business and consumers are great to receive
and I am pleased to say, not at all uncommon. Our employees understand our
business is to provide solutions for our customers and we want to help them get
what they want, when they want it. We
understand there are a lot of choices when it comes to Internet Access,or
telecommunications services and we like to offer clear advantage to our
community.” Eric Shippam said. Cost In addition to the monthly fee of
$24.95 for the service, a special modem must be installed in the
